Fishy peeps - my new pleco
It's an LDA33 (Big white spot)
Well impressed. Managed to persuade the old man to pay for it. Cost me £45 with discount!

You work there or something or you got an on-line version?
Have to pop out and get it.
I must admit it's nice to have a hobby that doesn't break every week and doesn't have to go away for 6 months at a time

I love that Plec... thats cool
Ive just lost my gold nugget plec, this is the 3rd one ive lost over the years, all the same, seem to live for a few month then die for no apparent reason. The tropical guru's amongst you will know theres very little known about these and they are notoriously hard to keep, yet my sister had 2 for 5yrs

yep unfortunately I found out about that after I got this one. He's from the same family "Baryancistrus"
Fingers crossed anyway. Seems happy and is eating well. Good thing is I left him at the shop for 2 weeks so if there were any major problem it would have happened there. I read some people say they have a "Self destruct gene" which can happen after transport. (Obviously it's not actually a gene, but a way of saying it lol)

iused to have 4 red belly piranha's and used to feed it allsorts of fish including plecs and guppys, even bought em a big fook off goldfish once and they only got half way through it and i had to throw the rest away
given it away now tho - it was too cannabalistic

Sorry if you know this already, just thought it worth mentioning, and theres a big post on here somewhere about teh nitrogen cycle to keep you entertained

and then scuttles off to his bit of terracota little fooker
We didn't see our Plec, in the office tank for months, as he kept hiding in his log, then he appeared and he's hoooooooj
I keep large fancy goldfish in a Juwel Rio 240 - we had to fill that up with the hose. It took ages to clear but to help it cycle I used the old filter out of my previous tank at the same time and it seemed to work - no one died
These are my favourite Rummynose Tetras, who live with the goldfish, (as fancy goldfish like slightly warmer temps)
What the goldfish haven't realised yet is that the Tetras will fit in their mouths and they could eat them
This is my big Lionhead - he is the best
This is Gill doing a swan dive
This is Eggfish - who is apparently unusual being a white Oranda???
and this is where they live
