Default Mars Bars...

Why do they NEVER EVER taste the same?

I bought one this morning from Tesco in Blackpool and another this afternoon in a newsagents near Grimsby! Both tasted completely different!!

I realise there are people dying in the world, but there is nothing I can do about that so I'll concentrate my efforts on Mars Bars!

I'm sure that is indeed the case for every chocolate bar. Not just Mars bars.

Rather amusingly, Mars have replied to my original query.

They asked me; What was the taste difference between the two bars? Was the taste unpleasant? Have you kept any of the wrappers?

She said if I managed to get an answer to that, they could look into it for me.

It's obviously quiet at Mars Bar Towers along with at Timmy Towers

On a serious note though, if anyone agrees with 2 Mars Bars never tasting the same, let me know why and I'll pass it on to her.

Cheers
Tim

P.S It's a quiet week for me, so I'm concentrating my efforts on Mars Bars

Couple of the lads here often send letters to food companies saying how they enjoyed the delicious taste of there product and that its a highlight of there lunchtime.

In return they get either vouchers or at best free box of said product

All for the cost of 2mins and a stamp - I really should make them work harder !!!

Don't know about mars, but snickers chocolate id defo changing, for the better, it is much better in other eu countries, just seems more creamy, and tasty without being so sickly.
I noticed this also with a bag of M&M's(peanut) these came from spain, but seemed nicer than ours, maybe recipe is changing slightly to standardise it for all eu ?

Sometimes the Chocolate is more bitter. Not much, and certaintly not noticable if you have one a month. But if you have one after the other, it is. Who else bites around the mars bar and then takes the tops and bottoms off?

Benni.

It's the only way!! You feel like you are getting way more for your 50p. Kit kats seem a bit small though.

Update Today:

Dear Mr Tim Magee,

Thank you for your e-mail reply

I can confirm that recently, an error in the blending of the ingredients used in some of our chocolate, has affected the taste of the finished product.

Appropriate action was taken immediately to rectify the problem and to avoid this happening again. However, affected products may still be available in the market place, which, unfortunately, we cannot control.

As a company we have endeavoured to achieve a reputation that we can be proud of so we are sorry that on this occasion you have had cause to be dissatisfied. Every precaution is taken in the design and manufacture of all our products to ensure they are the best available.

If you need any further information or advice please contact our Consumer Careline on the telephone number below and one of our Consumer Care Advisors will be more than happy to help you.

Kind regards.

I notice they don't taste so nice if been in my work bag for few days/weeks, must be down to amount of heat cycles they've been through.
