This makes alot of sense, taken from the (mx trax website) makes you think twice about going for a four stroke..
These idiots are too stupid to realize that Japan just made them spend MORE $$$$ and boost the bike makers pockets. Bike makers are richer and the idiot is poorer spending money all the time.
How stupid are you when you choose a heavy motor that produces less HP cc for cc and revs almost twice as high with triple the running cost. (RETARD)
YZ250 = 8000rpm = 46hp
YZ250F = 12000rpm = 35hp
Even a 85cc does not rev to 12000rpm WTF
WHY WOULD YOU BUY A MOTOR THAT BREAKES CONSTANTLY AND PERFORMS LESS AT TWICE THE PRICE
They had to modify the rules to make the POS compete. Double the motor size in every event.
It has taken 11 years to make a 250 beat a 125 by 2hp. This was only done because they chose to ignore all mods (Suspension / brakes / frames) on a two stroke.
What would happen if Yamaha put a Fuel Injected 2010 125 motor into a 2010 frame?
It would have been easier to make fuel injection than to make a whole new motor, ban team riders from riding what they want and get the rules changed to allow twice the 250 to race against a 125 - (Pro riders have a gag order NOT speak well of a two stroke. The guy who pays their salary tells them what they can and cannot say - A Redbull rider cant say how good Monster Energy is!)
THEY MAKE MORE MONEY ON 4 STROKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
The problem is that now 11 years later they have killed MX
Honda and Kawasaki were the two brands that caused the 2 strokes to be shot.
They pushed the FIM and AMA into changing the rules to favor 4 strokes. It was NOT the greenies.
Would be like trying to ban F1 or Daytona (They would have more chance of falling pregnant on the moon than baning Daytona)
Honda knew they would make more money from the 4 strokers. They thought everybody would buy one, and they did. The problem is they were too expensive to maintain and keep running.
Every year there have been less and less MX riders on the start line across the planet. Less people buying bikes. Ticket sales to MX events have also dropped. This has forced the FIM & AMA to review the rules. Even TV coverage globally for MX has dropped. Enduro events also have less riders than EVER before.
People have simply stopped riding and or buy bikes. This was brought on by HONDA.
HONDA have announced they will not directly sponsor riders for 2010 as their profits have dropped. (Less sales than ever before.)
People dont say they cant afford to race or ride anymore. They just stop riding. Here today, gone tomorrow.
If Honda have made a new PV then I am shocked, and am wondering why and for what bike.
FIM 2010 rules are that a 250 is a 250 in other words 250 2T vs. 250 4T (Will be interesting)
Would like to see which team riders will be ALLOWED to race a 2 stroke?????
Most of the bike builders dont have a race ready 250 MX bike for 2010
Yamaha, KTM, Gas Gas Maico do. It will be interesting to see what happens in 2010
