Default Can a faulty caliper feel like a warped disc?

This is driving me mad, I must get my car on the road today, it's 4x4 Sapp Cos.

It felt like it had a warped front disc, juddering under braking together with a scratching sound, I changed the discs and pads, it's exactly the same! I did notice one of the old pads much more worn than the other on that side when I changed them.

Thanks for the reply mate, all of these have been replaced already. But I think I'm there now, I think it's one of the caliper pins siezing up. I've oiled it (without removing it) just oiled it and shunted it in and out a few times, I think this helped a bit. Tomorrow I'm going to dig out the right size allen key so I can take it out and have a good look at it, replace or lubricated or whatever, see how that does.

the dodgy caliper could heat up the disc/pad causing it to then have the judder, ut the caliper itself wouldnt cause it (that make any sense?)

Well I got the pins freed up, but not yet removed. It drove ok for a minute then started playing up again. Are the 4x4 calipers this bad normally?

theyre sliding calipers so its not uncommon, take it apart and get it cleaned up properly. pretty sure you can buy rebuild kits for these too if you dont want to buy a new caliper

Gonna take them out to have a proper look, but can't find a big enough Allen key
