harsh or not?

i'll tell you the story once some of you have had a say

11 lines between picture 1 and picture 2 so i'm sure someone will have their calculator hat on to work out how fast the vehicle was going

Under normal road conditions, very harsh. You are given a certain percentage anyway.

Exceedingly harsh. Herts camera's in a 30mph limit don't trigger until 40mph. They typicaly have a degree of tollerence dialled in to allow for speedo inaccuracy and to prevent them issuing more tickets than can be dealt with

at a guess the person decided to take to court and the usual 3 points + fine were increaed by the court to 6 points + fine due to other reasons or evidance

This is going to sound harsh... but if you weren't speeding in the first place... you wouldn't have to worry about it.

It makes me laugh tbh, you think it's great getting everywhere faster but as soon as you get points for breaking the law.. you moan ?? wtf people !!!! And no, before you start, i don't speed, i don't see the fucking point.

MY OPINION !

It's 6 MPH. I've done more dangerous things on my pedal bike.

So if its breaking the law why don't they have speed cameras go off at 31mph then as it is still speeding in the eyes of the law? Does sound incredibly harsh. Any other circumstances that we don't know about?

Also I can't see any pics

The only time i've ever exceeded the speed limit willingly, was getting out of the way of an ambulance My drivers license cost me a shit load of cash, so i don't really fancy pissing it up the wall along with fines and points that'll make driving even more fuckin expensive !

Like i said, it's only my opinion, i don't speed - but nearly everyone else i know does if i'm in the car with someone i won't complain about their speed - unless their being twats about the speed in certain areas.

Do they not take a certain percentage off your speed or that just average speed cameras?

You must be one of those many sunday drivers that drives at 28mph in a 30 limit 57mph in a 60mph limit and 67 in a 70mph! really annoys me when people don't obey the speed limit and that goes for both ways not just speeding but not driving at the right speed in the 1st place!

You can't measure safe driving in MPH, and speeding fines don't take safety into account.

If it was dangerous it's not harsh. If it wasn't dangerous then it's properly harsh.

then you should learn that 'obeying the limit' means keeping at or under it depending on conditions. it's not a target to always aim to drive at

thats still harsh. i got a fixed penalty 3 points and a £60 fine for 47 in a 30. i had to go to court because i didnt return the slip in time but they only increased the fine by £20 and no extra points.

it is a target mate! if you dont think it is go drive at 45mph on a motorway and see how long it takes you too piss everyone off and before you get pulled over and asked by the law why you are driving too slow! and when you tell them that your keeping under the speed limit for the road conditions see what they make of that then!

6 points and £195 for 53mph in a 30. Didn't get the option of going to court or not, I was going too quick so it went to court anyway! Plus £50 petrol that night and I did fuck all!

i'd rather drive at 29 / 59 / 69 than get 3 points and a fine !!

Btw, it's called a speed LIMIT - not you have to do this speed, i do 30 ( or what my speedo calls 30), in 30 zones..etc etc..

i find it quite amusing how many people have picked up on my post tbh, i'm guessing there's a lot of you out there that don't really care about your license - or other road users ?
