Default Anyone ever cossie'd a jap car?????

Was just thinking this earlier, and I've been thinking about it most of the morning now and still don't think i've ever seen a cossie powered jap car. But someone must have done it over the years surely?
Off the top of my head I've seen a Mk2 golf, Renault 5 turbo, BMW's, Merc, Pugs, Triumph aswell as various other Fords

Apart from "being different" Why would you bother transplanting a 25 year old tempermental expensive engine into a nice reliable japanese car? Surely if you dont want to tube whats the the obvious path is more capacity, not another 2l 4 banger?

i suppose the only reason youd do it is to be different and controversial.
YB's arent as good on paper as 9/10 jap 2.0turbos so it'd be a downgrade, especially with their crap reliability reputation
