I saw Steve Scott do a few sub 3 seconds 0-60 runs at Ford Fair a few years ago. Can't remember the best time to be honest but think it was around 2.7.

What about Pat Doran and his Fiesta? That's a quick car!

Should be a good year though, some great Fords about now, as mentioned though the AG Focus in a bit of a league of its own with that much power and such a good setup, nearest thing I know of to compare it to is what was the blue WRC Escort from Norway which was built with no limits but sadly was never timed.
Wasn't that blue WRC Escort from Norway at National Day a few years ago and a load of stuff got stolen off of it?

TBH Ford Fair timing gear isnt really ideal for comparison, everyone seems to do better on that than on the more accurate GPS and motion sensor combined setups.

Ive seen quite a few cars there do times they never got near anywhere else.

Yes that car, personally the best finished Ford ever, the AG Focus is different but doesn't look anywhere near as good as that car did (or probably still does)

Few can afford to build a car like that and most that can actually race them and have very little interest in what people on a internet forum think is fast, I like AG's style though, does a bit of a both and clearly isn't afraid of having to repair it in the event of a incident.

I,d like to see Karl use his 3dr more at events like this, it,d be interesting to see what times that car would put in, it,s got to be over 700bhp surely on that GT42??

As have RS200's in the past I believe, they've been knocking some mental acceleration times out for years but generally aren't geared to do top speed so never seems to impress that group of people.

thats strange Chipper, I always seem to do worse there

Maybe it's the pressure

Are we including pat d's fiesta cos thats the quickest thing I know of that wears a ford badge (0-60 wise) but what about the 1150 bhp rs200? surely that must be a contender for some crown of somesort?

I must admit I've always thought their timing gear was a little suspect personally.

No, nothing stolen off it. They tried to start it and couldn't...

My old Sierra was also broken into by same people.... they put a screwdriver through the doorskin and made a right mess of door and ignition barrel. They flattened the battery trying to start that.... all they had to do was flick the fuel pumps on and they would have been away with it.... scary.

If we are looking a bit further afield to motorsport as well, then Mike Endeane's Puma has gotta be up there!

Now thats a fast car, again money no object build infact I'd take a guess it cost a lot more than the AG Focus to build but thats as so much of would of been bespoke

whats your point?

Should we demand that Andy spend less money and make his car more conventional?

I LOVE the fact that there are mental mental cars like Andys

I also love that Puma that must have cost 9.8 trillion quid to build!
