I never ever ever want to do this again!!

It's THE most stressful thing ever, our seller is putting an extreme amount of pressure on us saying that if we don't complete by Friday then the deals off. Our buyers solicitor has only just managed to look at the contract and we are expecting further questions regarding information we have provided to his solicitor weeks ago.

Our buyers solicitor was supposed to be going to see our buyer tonight to go through the paper work and the contract but we haven't heard anything from our buyer even though he promised to ring us back tonight once his solicitor had been

You know when you just get the feeling that it's all going to go tits up again!! I'd rather shove pins up my nails than ever have to do this again <------ real tears

You need start calling them every 5 minutes to get a update. Its the only way with these fools. Otherwise they do what they are doing and that's just take the piss with you. Start calling every few minutes. If they get pissed off tell them you don't appreciate being promised and the pushed to one side

They are all like this mate. When we bought the house in Langley the fucker wouldn't return my calls so i got a hold of his house number and called him every 5 minutes and at 3am to really piss him off.

why do they do it though?? its blatently deliberate as i refuse to believe everyone in the industry is THAT incompetant.

Do they really WANT to fuck up the sale???

What they fail to realise is that a lot of stuff you can now do without a solicitor if youve got the knowledge. Difficult bit is finding a friendly one to sign off on it all.

Scotts dealing with our buyer and he said that he would keep on at him but if he doesn't answer the phone then there isn't a lot that he can do.

By not answering the phone it's just making me think that there's obviously something wrong and he's avoiding us. Everything is always left until the end of the day or last thing on a Friday so it leaves you with a night or weekend of being anxious and worrying that things aren't right.

It's a fucking joke it really is

Cos they are PURE CUNTS Warren, Its really hard to find a solicitor who will answer your calls when you need to find out whats going on with whatever your doing.

But when you show them that your not taking shit from them no longer that's when they get the work done. I went to my solicitors office and told the twat that i'm gonna sit in his office while he makes the necessary calls and i'm not leaving until i get what i need.

Update......

He's spoken to our buyer, his solicitor just left his house at 9.15pm after arriving at 7pm. His solicitor only works part time (3days a week) and he has paid her Ł180 an hour to try and get this sorted by Friday.

So she has advised him that we still haven't provided 3 documents

1. Electrical test certificate for the shop
2. Certificate for the windows
3. Estimate, invoice and plan for the damp proof course.

She has also said that she has amended the contract and sent it to our solicitor, she has made some changes but we won't know what they are until tomorrow.

We also have another problem, our solicitor has gone on holiday for 2 weeks from tonight so we're relying on his secretary to be able to deal with any problems. So theres a problem in itself!!

At least he rang Scott back. I don't think that he would have paid for his solicitor to work her day off if he wasn't serious about trying to exchange and complete on Friday. So I guess we'll see what changes she has made to the contract tomorrow.

The plot thickens

She was good to talk to and had a really good personality aswell which does make a change lol

Hope you both get the sales sorted ok

I don't know if its just me but why the hell do Solicitors go on holiday when a deadline is in place and leave the work to the Secretary? The cunt did that to us as well.

Stay in contact with that secretary every few hours unless something has progressed. I chose to make certain calls and act like the secretary on behalf of my Solicitor as the Secretary decided not to answer calls. Which is also why i haven't paid him and he is still asking about the money i 'Owe' him. I told him that if his paper work matches mine then i'll pay him

No need to argue. Its neither of yours fault. If anything this is where both of you need to be making them aware that enough is enough and that you aren't going to be promised bullshit Solicitor promises.

If you don't hear anything from them by a certain point tomorrow, do as i did, You and Claire go to them and tell them your not leaving till its done. The last thing you want is Friday to come and they haven't done fuck all. Who they are over the phone is completely different to who they are when your staring them in the face. That way they know your serious. Watch them pick that phone up and dial faster than speed dial the Fookers!!!

arent solicitors regulated by anyone so that theres some "standard" they have to comply with??? any other business that treated thier customers like cunts would go bust.
