Will know what i am going to do with her within a week or so!think i will leyt her go tho in truth can not throw more money down the drain as it not going to be a investment for the future etc
what made it melt??? I read too much about cossies melting when pushed hard surely they can be engineered so they dont get to the engine conditions that they melt???

Insufficient fuel supply/injector strike to go with the state of engine tune.
Maybe insufficent pump voltage if it was on standard wiring? Running lean at top end?
Any number of reasons....
I don't think there was anything inherently wrong on the standard car as they passed durability testing at Nardo running flat out when new. That's how they found the intercooler problems wasn't it?
shame you cant integrate an AFR system into the ECU to stop you driving hard when the AFR is at a dangerous level. A kind of intelligent Limited Operation Strategy. Would be much better in the long run to have a nice red light coming on dash and your power cut to save the engine.
dont know why she melted a piston!grp A fuel pump fitted all been rewired, got light blue motorsport injectors only running around the 370 odd mark, engine was strong on knocks are rattles even forom cold!plus it had been live mapped so fueling would of been spot on
Sorry to hear that its gone tits up, might well have been a bad batch of fuel? My STi knocked everything back to worse than standard when I got a rogue tank of V-Power once... felt like the car was very strangled, but would rather have that, than the other option of running at full power with sub-standard fuel.
Shame that!!! thats why i reckon a LOS on an ecu that uses the AFR from a lambda sensor would be a useful tool as it would be able to limit the engine if a bad batch of fuel is fucking the fuelling up!
