Default Interesting interview - NOT!

I got to this one at 10.20 for 10.30 and made the reception aware, I was there. I didn't see anyone till 10.40 and they told me the person I was meeting, was in a meeting. Bearing in mind, I had to take time off from work and make it back up later on. At 11.20 I just got up and walked out. They called me about 11.30 saying that they'd seem to have lost me and for me to call them back! This is a big company as well.

The Hilton group must be a wonderful company to work for!

Do they really expect people to just wait around? If I turned up that late without letting them know, I'd imagine I'd just be asked to leave!

Mabey they're relaxed about procdures there, it might be less stressful to work there, on the other hand, if you love planning and keeping to a schedule i'd imagen it would be hell working there.

its just depends on how you like to work.

What kind of successful business runs without planning and schedules?

I'm pretty sure Hilton are where they are now because of good organisation. It's more likely that the staff where the interview was being conducted have dropped a ball.

I worked for Hilton for 4 years, progressed through the ranks etc, they never did me wrong. Perhaps you were just unlucky!

Maria, Nope nothing was said apart from what I posted in the first post. I was starting to think I was been filmed on one of these wind up tv programmes

northener, yes stage 1

Rick, I wouldn't of thought luck would come into it. The HR woman seemed ok from when I spoke to her. It was the GM I was there to see.

It was a pisser having to make up the time I took of my current job on a FRIDAY! The busiest day for me.

Unlucky in such a way that the GM's PA was absolutely shit at scheduling the GM's day in such a way that wouldn't massively screw you over.
