not really wanting to go it to any real detail and start slagging the guys car but if you try to command that sort of money for the car and show it in class such as concours , the cars going rite in the public spotlight and has to be spot on imo
the paintwork is all patchy , wing rails are starting to rust thru , the sealer on the wings is a mess and the front panel looks like its been done with stonechip and painted over .

i sold the car for 10k then the guy bought it from my mate for 14k
it has to go back to the paint shop as its not right
i think 14k is ALOT for it myself i spent alot on the car but its not 14k at ford fair aswell it wasnt even cleaned or nothing
my mate has been offered it back but as i told him the car has to be fully stipped and painted again to be 100% right plus he smashed the carbon splitteri got banned from the paint shop for grabbing 2 of his worker for not doing it correctly that why they said they would never paint a car for me again
i have a new painter and he is REALLY good as you will see when my escos is painted

good to hear mate , aurilis and moonstoon can be a cunt to paint at times but its just they bits like the wing rails and the seal not being finished properly that let it down , you must have been gutted spending all that money on it for them to make a balls of it .
did that same place that painted your 3 door paint that low mileage aurilis blue escort cosworth (not your one) the one that goes up knockhill sometime too by any chance ?

I couldnt tell you bud as i dont know the lad who has my 3 door know is taking it back and i agree on the seal and wing finish it should have been better the guy (my mate) who is painting mines wants everything off the car before he paints it he does restoring vw's etc etc seen his work and i am happy with it also just seen a amg merc he done and looked the like brand new not one fault for me to see my mate i sold the car to has been offerd the 3 door back in a deal for his mk2 van (very tidy) and also his pocket ROCKET a mk1 golf vr6.......................turbo
but Carlo has sent me details of his and it sounds VERY intresting
