on a reg plate there has to be a certain gap between letters but is there a legal requirement between the first and second lot? ie could you have for example
A4---------- CAR
or would it have to be like A4 CAR
or could you have A4CAR with no gap?

 

theres a min and a max gap allowed,,,, its only enforced now due to the vascar system in old bill cars though tbh

 

yer there has got to be a gap! i know i got a Ł30 fine for it!

As said DVLA site has all the info, but basically 11mm space between characters, but blocks of characters is 22mm, 11mm also around edges.
After a certain build date of car any plate has to carry also the postcode of supplying shop(plates).
