Mountain bike people, couple of Q's?
Seeing as my old bike is sitting in my hallway I thought I would get back out in it. To my susrprise I really enjoyed myself and found the jumps, hops etc came flooding back (unlike my level of fitness ).
As I rolled her out Tuesday, notice the purple bits? Very 90's)
Now, many moons ago I had a Cook Bros chainset but a sticky fingered twat helped themselves to it when I left the bike in town . I threw an old Shimano Exage unit on to get me out of trouble but then had my accident so never changed it back out for something better. Problem is I now can't remember if I changed the bottom bracket when I swapped to the Exage unit
I want to put a decent chainset on again (of the old school variety as it will match the bike), am I likely to need to change the bottom bracket?
Been looking at Middleburn and Cook Bro's on E-Bay

Shoot me then as I built all my own wheels. It's survived well though, and done many races without issue (as well as some daft stunts/jumps)
Had a radial laced wheel as whell on a Hope Super Bubba hub but that went with teh Cook Bro's chainset :-(

i guessed a pro never built the wheels as it was a comon mistake when building them, makes the spoke angles too harsh so the wheels need to be over tensioned but most people never notice
ive still got the first snowflake i ever built ( i refused to pay a extra 15 quid for the wheel so done it myself),,,,,,, i made that mistake and always had people pointing it out at weekends or racedays
what shoes you use,,, im guessing based on the age of the bike possibly nike poohbars, most comfortable show i ever found for riding the weekend, though cleat pulling though was fucking anoying, shimano was the strongest for racing though,, but made my toes cold in the winter
how many ORIGINAL no fear T-shirts you own then ????

It's been a good hack, Whole thing weighed in at 26lb which for its time wasn't bad.
I use Shimano shoes with multi release cleats although I'm going to have to get another pair I think as they are seriously showing their age.
Don't have any No-Fear T-shirts any more saddly.
Remember the Name Rob Warner from the days of MBUK.

You can remeber the quotes! Flippin heck mate, I can't remember what I did 3 weeks ago never mind what was on a T-shirt I wore 15+ years ago.
Always wanted a GT RTS-1 but never did get one. I got knocked off my road bike which left me with a damaged hip and knee. I was unable to ride for months and then discovered beer, pubs and women so the bike just sat in the garage :-(
