Bought myself a gas (propane) barbeque from B&Q yesterday... All is ok, got a regulator with it but got a query about the fitting. It has a female fitting with like a clip on plug thing on it. Problem is I wanted to use my garage space heaters Propane gas bottle but the regulator on the space heater bottle is a screw on type and with the Barbeque its a clip on type. I can buy the correct pressure regulator needed for the BBQ to work with the large bottle but wanted to know if it would be ok/safe to use so long as I have the correct pressure (37 is needed i believe)? Someone advised me to get a 'patio' gas bottle whatever that is??!!

Just change the gas regulator to suit.

The Patio gas is a fibreglass bottle from BP instead of the traditional steel one.

It#s a little lighter, looks better and doesn't leave a rusty ring on the patio.
