Im in the d/g and cons trade mate, and i would deffo NOT recomend a "Diy" on any conservatory.
Everything has to be spot on,level and square or it will simply not work and leak like a sieve.
I have built many and the best by far is UltraFrame
Try not to skimp to much because you will only end up with a pile of rubish and if you can afford it its worth having the roof Glazed with "Active Blue" Toughened Glass. Dearer yes, but it sheilds 70% of the suns heat meaning you will actualy be able to go inside the Conservatory on a sunny day !!!!. It is also self cleaning and quiet when it rains.
If you have ever been in a "Polly top" conservatory then you will understand what i am on about as when it rains, it "Drums" so you cant go in it when its raining and you cant go in it when its hot!!
Dont go for a "floating Floor" either as they are shit and only done to save Money so go for a proper Screaded floor and if you can, go for underfloor heating as well.
NO mastic should be used on the PVC joins if they are any good. Only use Stelmex" on all PVC to PVC which is a Liquid Plastic and will not "Yellow"
One last thing is, no mater what make or how much you paid, it will only ever be as good as the fitters that fitted it are

diy doesnt have to be a wonky shed if you know what your doing. why pay someone else if your capable yourself? and i am a joiner. its not rocket science. are you capable? many think they are but wont admit theyre not fit to be left alone with a sharp tool.

Yup, i agree with Fuzzy, theyre pretty DIY if they are not complex. A simple 3x3 or 3x4 is a doddle for anyone who is prety handy at diy. You may just have to get someone in to do the base and the plastering etc!
