Default R.I.P the great man that was Steve Byrne

Pardeep on behalf of Steve Byrne's family and friends i just want to say thankyou for putting your side accross I spoke to him about 3pm then the accident was at 4.30pm none of us could beleive that Steve has gone without any warning to us all no chance of any of us to say Goodbye to him I have looked at the road on the internet and couldn't believe that this could happen but now you have said your side it all makes sense and at least we all know what happened and hope this woman goes down for the life of a great man that she has taken.

Please find lnk below to facebook group in memory of Steve if you wish to join http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gi...0489188&ref=ts

Thanks again Daniel

Default Thank you Pardeep

I would like to thank Pardeep for stopping and trying to help my brother Stephen and for giving his details and account to the police as it differs from what the women told the police when they told us. And as Daniel says, it makes more sense now as we couldn't understand how it could have happened as Stephen was an experienced rider. My brother was only 48 and he was a kind, hard working and honest man who would do anything for you and had everything to live for. He leaves behind a loving partner, 6 children and 4 grandsons whose lives have been turned upside down.

Thanks again Pardeep, at this sad time for us, you in a way are our hero as you have spoken up where someone else might not have.

So sorry to hear about your loss, i know how it feels to have a member of your family taken way too soon

But as said massive props to Pardeep

You'd like to think that what Pardeep did is what anyone would do, but i think sadly in this day and age we all know that's not the case

R.I.P.. sorry to here about your loss, its a real sad time, i also have had a best mate taken away from me at a young age. its hard, very hard.

and well done to Pardeep, for stoping and trying. i know if i seen the same i would of been there, i also am a trained Health and safty officer and also have the same training as the paromedics. on the same course as them, its just a shame that you couldnt help any more than you could.

Bikers are not safe on the roads in this day and age due to others around, there are some silly bikers but also some very clever ones who dont put them or anyone in danager but its the other people that do.

the first thing i do before anything is check for a biker, when one comes up behind me and i know its a safe place for him to take over. i always sit on the inside line close as i can to the grass to give them as much room as i can, as if a car was to take over and something to happen they have more chance than a biker, i would rather make sure everyone is safe and for the dizzy blonde she needs to be locked up, remove her driving licnece for a damn well start.

R.I.P to the biker and all the best to family and friends that are greaving.

I think a lot of people would do what i did. Its just they see people at the scene and carry on. I don't blame them to be honest. I don't think people want to create a crowd.

It has made me think about doing a course in Health and Safety. The thought will always linger with 'What if'. Maybe if i did know what to do it could have made a big difference. Maybe if between the time of the Accident and the Paramedic getting to the scene i could have done something to help. But its life and we just got to deal with what comes our way

Angry So unfaire

The woman who was responsible for my brothers death has been charged with causing death by careless driving and she is pleading NOT GUILTY. There will therefore be a court case in September. As if my parents haven't been through enough!

First of all I am so sorry about what has happend, It was her fault, but the main problem a bike has a very smal visual profile and it has been proved the brain can skip the bike, when you a realy looking for cars.

well done pardeep, for getting there and doing your best, but I feel the only way to stop this is ban bikes.

You will find there are hundreds of these same type insidents, I think Fuggy had the same problem?

So what do we do?

yes, but i was very lucky as i walked away.

again, female stopped in traffic made an illegal right turn into a no right turn junction to try and avoid the traffic. however i was going past just as she turned. same old story 'didnt see him' etc. but she addmitted that a. she didnt check her blind spot and b. she didnt check her mirror.

i came to an abrupt stop with my head from around 40mph.

she got a £90 fine and 3 points for due care and attension for something that could have cost me my life.

hardly worth wasting the courts time is it.

i also expect that woman in this case pleaded not guilty as getting convicted for causing death by dangerous driving carries a jail term does it not?

good on you pardeep for your efforts mate, you may by asked to make an appearance in court.

Chaps, I have done it,

I have looked both ways and then as you do double checked and there was a bike, I was on the clutch and ready to move, this is not the only time I have had to back off.

I have A1 eye sight, but somtimes your brain will not pick up a bike, you are looking for a car.

what should happen is all car drivers should be made to have bike licences first, as a bike rider - you never miss seeing a motorcyclist when your in the car.

I have seen this happen, in this case the bike was a supermoto style and the bloke did a forward flip over the boot into a deep squat. He was lucky to sprain his ankles.

RIP the biker. I always check for bikes, but some people are unfortunately crap inconsiderate drivers and that on top of bikes having a samll profile means that bikers are in constant danger.
