Default Plumber help RE combi boiler

Right basically for as long as i can remember ever since we moved into our house whenever you turn the hot water on the radiators warm up too which means the taps sometimes can take a while to get hot. Always meant to ask what it was but never got round to it so here goes lol.

My cousin had a similar thing which reminded me to ask, he cant remember what the bloke had to change or fix but was some kinf of valve or something?!

If anyone has any ideas would be grateful!! If its an easy fix then will do it myself but if its deff a pro only job then obviously will have to call someone in!!

Cheers for any help

Sounds like it could be the 3 way valve, or they wired it up wrong. Seem to remember it could be a link thats wrong.

Its either the divertor valve letting by or the domestic hot water heat exchanger is blocked or scaled!

Divertor for defo on a Baxi, they wanted Ł200 to change mine so i took it out, cleaned it and put it back in , that was a year ago and its still working faultlessly. Really easy to replace/repair mate.

If its the divertor sticking, it will be the hw paddle sticking in the control assy, drain boiler, turn off mains water, remove diapragm housing complete and then remove control assy and clean the shaft.

Refit in the reverse, job done.

DONT FORGET TO TURN THE ELECTRIC OFF FIRST THOUGH.

Right according the the insruction manual it has a DHW (direct hot water) and a CH (central heating) valve in, havnt taken the cover off yet to look but am i guessing right that it has both?! IF so which one would be at fault or is it work doing both?!

Also is it just a case of replacing the diaphragms or worth changing the micro switches as said?!

Cheers
