Good news its sparking at least mate, shows the ecu is seeing the crank sensor properly at least.

i think the fpr is an xs power job, and i imagine its leaking cos i didnt check how tight the fittings are as it was getting dark. same reasone it pissed oil out the turbo feed pipe as that wasnt tight either

i have since foud that on a cossie the phase sensor controls the fuel. and when you do away with that you use a cam sensor... now my cam sensor is not connected, as i copied the old wiring loom from my escort that i was running the s8 on, and that didnt seem to use it...

so i think i have found the issue!

Just found out its on EDIS, so the ecu might not be seeing a crank signal after all.

Stick a timing light on it, if it stays at 10 degrees the EDIS is getting no signal from the ECU as thats the default setting

right, just had another look. with the ecu powered up there is 12.5v on all injectors.
and it had 1 bar of fuel pressure

so the ecu switches the ground to the injectors, but what triggers this?

its a phase sensor on a cossie, but this is a zetec lol, it has a cam sensor but this is not plugged in, as there is no plug for it.

but the zetec lobe is different to a cossie, as they use 2 points 90 degrees apart and the zetec only had 1.
