Acoustic guitar ?!
i've had one for like..10 years, but never learnt to play it properly !
is it hard to learn ? Also, how hard is it to re-string as i'm left handed and it's bloody uncomfortable trying to do it the 'normal' way..
Ta in advance.

Rock Out!!
It's no harder than anything else in life. just take your time and enjoy each little new victory. Try a left handed guitar in a shop, it may be no easier. if it is, dont re-sting your right haned guitar, just part ex it against a lefty. if you lack insperation, get a book of your favourite songs and learn one, always a big boost. and a few lessons will do wonders, and only cost peanuts. hope that helps.

Its not hard to restring if you're not too fussed about intonation, just buy a new set of strings and put them on upside down. Intonation is basically how well in tune the guitar will be at higher frets, so if you're just starting it shouldn't be too much of an issue. The scratch plate'll be on the wrong side but hey...

THE BEST ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE ^^^^^^^^^ you will ever hear...............what an album
Stringing is easy. slacken off strings, step buy step.
If you have steel then pull out the pins, if nylon then just undo the knots.
Simply string "upside" down. as said inotation will be slightly out over the length of the board, but nothing to worry about.
Ive been playing 15 years or so and im still shit. but trick is to just have fun and enjoy your self......and play what YOU enjoy listening to.
It is important to set your self targets, and try new chors and songs all the time, as its easy to get lazy and fall into bad habbits. Like me
This is nylon (sorry warning I cant sing!)
Guitar - 1969 Mitsuma (build number 006)
Radiohead - Street Spirit
Steel strung
Guitar - 1970's Jim Harley - Colorado Dreadnought CR30/G
Marylin Manson - Dissacioative
I love electric, but i find it sooo much more difficult. the acoustics just seem to feel "Natrural" if that makes sence?
Guitar - 1983 Fender Stratocaster (Squire-3 single coil pick up)
Nirvana - Aneurysm
HERE YOU CAN SEE WHAT I MEAN ABOUT BAD HABBITS. IVE EVEN MANAGED TO MARYLIN MANSON SOUND LIKE NIRVANA
Guitar - 1979 Westbury Standard (Solid Mahogany body/ rosewood fret. Gibson Les Paul internals with De Marzio pickups original from factory)
Marylin Manson - The Reflecting God
Told you I was shit..........!!!
Think is to just enjoy your self!!!
