difference between mechanical and electrical gauges?

Default difference between mechanical and electrical gauges?

looking to get gauges for my cossie, but which ones? mechanical or electrical
running a t34 stge 3
do i need a boost gauge to 2 bar or 2.5?
also what should be the max reading for my oil pressure gauge(in bar and psi please).

got space for one more so im pressuming oil temp is a good one to get?

One is electrical and one is manual lol. Seriously though one has a sensor giving it electrical reading and one will actually be powered by the thing its measuring Eg Boost pressure ? oil pressure, i would imagine anyway. As for boost gage get a 2.5 bar if you plan on running more than 30psi thats about the only technical reason but its all down to personal choice, All up to you fella

mechanical "tend" to be more accurate

oil pressure will depends on lots of things; such as engine age, condition, oil temp, oil grade to mention a few
