Seems ok to me,

One thing that amazes me is, 25 years on from its birth its still one hell of an engine, still being used in the lastest mad Ford creations Like Andy Gallacher focus and other great Ford cars...

Where will the development of this engine end it doesnt even seem to be slowing IMO, i dont think we know how lucky we are sometimes, that someone all those years ago thought lets get Cosworth to make an engine to go in our sierra and here we are.

On a competitive level i think it still works well against some of the other manufacturer moderm engines in the field TOTB is proof of that!!!

seems a be a hybrid of the 2wd head with 4x4 dimensions, a lot of money by the time you add in valves and cams but I suppose you can now build a brand new YB again

Why the hell dont they put some decent pictures of it on clearly showing if it has the turbo hanger bits etc.

Surely if people are paying 2200 quid for one they want to know what they are getting?

Amazes me how companies can think such an unprofessional ad is good for business.

Great news they are being made again though.

Agree with all of the above, I just hope it doen't have the same issues as the turkish 99' block saga. Expensive for a brand new engine tho, i saw woodford selling the blocks for £1750 and £2200 for a head off ebay, plus internals, you'd better be 0% interest on purchases on your c card.

The picture isn't good but it looks like there is more meat on the underside of the inlet port.

The UK Homologation for the YB expires next year in the last Disclipline that drives development forward ,Rallycross .
Thats why the Duratec has been introduced in various cars recently to replace the YB .
