Exhaust Noise dB limit????
anyone know?
soon as i got the fiesta running the next door neighbors are out within minutes of it runing screaming,shouting at me how it shakes there house (my ass)

it probably does resonate off their windows tbh, mine does anyway. the kitchen window ( at the back of the house) rattles when my car is idling on the drive out front 
dunno about the limit though, as long as your not revving the tits off it and its just at idle i wouldn't have thought they could do alot. its not exactly antisocial behaviour to have a car running outside your house it is?

The limit is supposed to be at 3000rpm (or there abouts) you should be able to hear the horn.
Dont know whether thats under load or not. Was talking to my MOT's and he said its a bit vague.
My neighbour cant complain at me cos he has a GT40 lol.

on another note, i take it u have a sytem fitted, if so then tell em to do one. nowt they can do providing it doesnt come into this unsociable sound rubbish as if persisted he could get the council to monitor it, but only being you i doubt that will happen.

iam sure its 98dbs as a few year ago when i had my cozzy my grump bastard next door neighbour tried to get a asbo on me for noise pollution.
the car only had a magnex on with 3 silencers in the system and was canny loud but not at idle. if its between 7am and 11 pm u can be as loud as you like i suppose but inbetween 11pm and 7am think it has to be quieter than 98db.
that was what the council told me.
we measure how loud the car was pulling off the drive which is a steep bank and was only something like 89dbs.
