put a add up on passionford for a set of ford racing gauges,i got a reply back saying yeah ive got some i wanted to see some pics of them so i asked for him to send them to my email addres,which he did he said he was of another ford website when i questioned him why he had only just started posting,alarm bells were ringing,so c_smith 23 i asked to phone him he said he couldnt till after 6.30,the usual texting saying somone else wanted them,i said ok wait till i get home phoned him and he answered said he was going to a ford meet seemed ok to me,anyway nothing has arrived phoned him and guess what his phone rings for a bit then then he presses the answerphone button,me being daft then decided to type in ford racing gauges and guess what i found the pictures of them on 2 diffrent sale adds,so i guess ive been done.pissed off.payed through paypal got a dispute up but carnt see anything happening with that.

if you paid through paypal then it's covered as long as you opened the dispute in time so at least you'll get money back but all too often things like this are happening now.

had it happen before thought i was covered and wasn't i was awarded the dispute but because the other person never had money in there account paypal couldn't take it. that's the bad thing with pay pal people think they are safe to use it because they can get there money back when in reality they cant always

Simple , buy of somone who is a well known user on here / propper trader

I see far to many new users sign up on here and there 3rd post is " cossie breaking " etc

IMO , people should be a user for X amount of time before being alowed to break / sell cars

I know this is no way to stop people being ripped off , but if somone is a gen bloke then he will use the website for pleasure and will make himself friends before using the site just for selling / financial gain

it should be easy enough to find him, just ask him for a quote for some building work and then lock the doors and ask him what he's playing at

you may need a selection of burly geezah's doing some menacing lurking in he background for this to be more effective but i'm sure he'd happily reimburse you any outstanding money under those circumstances
