Done a search but couldn't find anything.
How far should a lambda sensor be from the turbo as heard if its too close the heat kills them.
Thanks in advance guys

well, ford fitted the green top cossie sensors IN the exhaust housing!
but for me, within 6 inches of the turbo is fine, on a cossie i fit them just before the neck on the front pipe

I'd put it further away than that. It doesn't need to be as close as EGT, I put them 18" from the Turbo. The sensors will last longer and have no ill effect on AFR readings.

thats were i put mine also used a heat bung thing, maybe help take some heat away,as above my standard lambda is in turbo exhaust housing
I don't know offhand how the Cossie downpipe goes, but mine is just before the exhaust goes round under the sump. They are also better to be in the upper portion of the pipe so that condensation etc cannot lay in the sensor.
