Default ICE question.....

Please bare with me I am female and no good with the in's and out's with ICE..........

Brought boyfriend a kenwood headunit for xmas and need to know if I need to buy a converter lead thingy to be able to install it or will it go straight in? Its going in a escort gti....R reg (97 or 98?).

youll probably need a harness adapter, and a fascia adapter. Both are available in a halfords store, but they wil prob ask you what stereo is in there at the mo, if its the standard ford one, WHICH standard ford one as I think there were 3different types

facia plate FP-07-00 from autoleads/halfords

but isn't there different harness adapters for different types of ford stereo?

thought there was one that had some amp bypass thing if you need it

i personally cut the connector block off and wire it meself

Ahhhhhhh bugger that it all sounds like to much hard work

Think i'll make him go and get what he needs when he goes to install it
