I was just saying to Coldo at TOTB yesterday that i hate how everyone on Passionford says Top Gears shite now when its not at all.......................................

but i watched last nights one and it was bloody awful. No hilarity at all apart from when they were at the auction. Worst Top Gear ive seen yet

i thought they'd lost the plot to be honest

no idea who thought buying a car and then going on a classic rally would make good telly, at least the train one had the aspect that jeremy was going to be working hard and get filthy dirty, this lacked even that

perhaps it was down to the editing as i would normally have found something like this very very intresting

but well done for the dinosaurs though, 2 of juniors favorite things, dinosaurs and car, on the same program, he was in heavan

he was trying to conjour up the link between cars that were monsters (lambo's and the like) and dinosaurs like t-rex and such

mainly due to them being very high up the food chain when it comes to being plastered over small boys rooms (the cars) and something that everyone should be wary of out on the road (the dinosaurs)

i understood where he was coming from, but then, as a bit of a palentologist, when he started going on about the z4 and the 370 being herbivores, he sort of lost track of what he was on about, they should have still been canrnivores and based around the therapod* stance, but perhaps been a little smaller, but i think he probably didn't do his research and only rememberd a few names from jurassic park and ran with those


dinosaurs are basicly split between 2 groups, saurpods and therapods, the saurpods have heavy hips and are for the plant eating big fookers like brontosaurs and diplodocus that had to carry around lots of bulk, and the theropods had 2 big legs and ran on them, but you could have both sorts of these, carnivores and herbivores

so think of it as being the difference between crocodiles and birds and you get the picture (although the picture is a bit slanted as dinosaurs had their legs underneath them like elephants and stuff rather than spread out to the sides like lizards and crocodiles and the like)
