I have had one for 4 years and love it, they have a bad reputation because people put a bleed valve on them, turn the boost up to 20 psi with no other mods then start moaning when the head gasket goes

I must admit mine was probably unreliable because of 30psi of boost......lol but it did have an engine with more Grp A parts than a Grp A car...lol.

When it was running it was awesome.... but like everything running big boost they break

I think it was in Max Power in 1996-8 or somewhere around that area (mint and std looking black 1 on Borbet C 16's)

Exactly, people moan about them breaking cause they all set up shite etc.

Mine was running 23psi held, peak power wasnt till 6750 and it revved clean off the 7500 clock all day long, and never missed a beat. Barring it so powerful it ate my driveshafts.

Another mates was running 25psi held, and another 31psi held, no bother barring the 31psi held one died as a oil cooler hose split due to shonky fitting, and dropped the oil. lol.

Just most people who mess with em aint got a clue.

Only GENUINELY get dodgy at 2bar+ cause thats the limit of the liners, and these days you can get uprated ones of them too.

what turbo you running?

reason i stuck with 23psi was my hybrid T25 was at the limit of its flow by then, increasing the boost, even to 28psi, gave it about 3more bhp

We spend 7.5hrs on the rollers, it started at 115bhp and came out with nearly 100more on almost the same boost

Charge temps were dead cool tho no matter what, but was running a hooj intercooler and a chargecooler too.

Nice to drive as well, was full boost by 3500 and at 6000 the wild cam kicked in really hard and it got extra extra silly, lol, blink of an eye and you was off the rev counter

Fucking awesome car that was, proper lil weapon.

I wanna build another, i got 3/4 of one here, but id wana build one at least as mad, and tho it wont cost me loads as i can do em with my eyes closed, parts wise is still a few grand for the madness i want, so not till the GTRs done...

Yeah they are really good fun, nice little second car to play about with in the summer

I have had it for a while now and gradually done it up. I got most my work done at Europarts (the place that did the twin engine one). Got an alloy intercooler, roller bearing turbo, steel liners, uprated cam, clutch and head gasket.

What spec was yours mate?

Ian@Europarts is a ace bloke, funny fucker too.

Did mine and 1 of my mates bottomends for us

Umm spec, lemme think...

Low comp, hybrid T25, chargecooler, hooj custom intercooler, piper 285cam with non-std timing, custom stupidly bored out carb with no choke, adj timing sensor (my ign was way more advanced than std, even tho GT Tuning tell you to retard it, tossers), water inj (tho disconnected as never needed as inter/charge cooler was soo efficient), lotsa of headwork and ported manifolds, 23psi held, side exit zorst from turbo back, inc a bigger elbow, copper rad, every single hose on the car in silicone, and a hoofin great airfilter half poking out the front grille

Silver, Fibreglass very vented Integrale EVO bonnet, Prima Racing spoiler (not the tarmac one, one slightly bigger, forget the same), cutout front bumper, open front grille, 285mm brakes, slammed on 15" Momo Arrows.

Probly shitloads more, but it was bout 5yrs ago now

Made it minter than mint too, and i bought it from a SCRAPYARD for 200quid as a wreck with a fucked engine, fucked interior, ropey bodyowrk, and rusty as fook
