Default Inside a bike engine

Stripped my Spare knackered Fireblade engine yesterday and thought it may be of interest to some of you what they look like inside. I myself found it interesting as I have only fiddle with car engines in the past and always wondered about bikes. It chucked a rod at a show doing a big burnout, it sat on the limiter for a couple of minutes and went bang. Itwas found that it was low on oil, another lad who had a lend of it noticed but forgot to mention it when he gave it back

In the top end pics I tried to take a picture of the shims which are actually cracked!!!

I took a few pics as I went along......

I always think the insides of a modern bike engine make the insides of a cossie lump look a bit Briggs and Straton.
