subaru engine question! help needed?

Default subaru engine question! help needed?

ive brought the same engine as the one in my car but the new one was on a auto and mine is a manual. would there be anything that i would have to do to fit it to my manual box. its a 1998 impreza wrx if that helps.

Swap flywheels over and i think the auto,s have a twin cable throttle body? apart fron that i think they are pretty much the same

I fitted a twincam engine from an auto sierra and converted it to manual many years ago

Apart from me sourcing the usual flywheel, clutch, prop to suit i needed a spiggot bearing, and i bought one from ford for a mere tenner thereabouts


Dont know if they are the same obviously but its something to enquire about mate

As above auto don't use spigot bearing so just need one popping in, then manual bits etc, should be good.
