Default Fitting st170 head, advice needed!

I am in the process of changing from my zvh to full zetec turbo, I have a spare silver top 2.0 from a mondeo and a spare st170 head. Am i able to just bolt on the st head to the silver top bottom end? something comes to mind that the belt pattern is different due to the water pump, is this correct and if so is there a way around it?

Also are there any benifits to using the st head to achieve 300bhp or am i just best using the original head. If the st head will fit then i would be looking at running the vvt. Is there any benifits to using the vvt or is it just more trouble then its worth.

If any one has any advice or experiences to through my way it would be a great help. cheers adam

Aparently the ST170 bolts straight onto a 2.0 silver top.

cheers for the reply,I thought that the head would bolt on just wasnt to sure. it says "When using a silvertop block you need to play with belt tensioner arrangement" any idea of what needs to be done, i have heard that this might need to be done but unsure on how!

well i got a full 2.0 silver top engine to do the conversion with, already got the steal rods to suit so will be using that, So will the standard zetec head be ok for 300 bhp then.

It will be running the emerald k3 ecu so it should control it but does it give any power increase.
