Default tyre size help please

ive just bought some old style 6 spoke comps in 8x18 et 32 to go on my 4x4 saff.

what is the best tyre size to use please?

215 35 18
215 40 18

or will 225's be ok

dont know how the "offset" will affect ur tyre width........i have 40's on 17's

I think 225.s will stick out to far.I know they did when i tried 225/50/16s on my old sierra when it had escos wheels on lt.

oh no this isnt a case of wheel fashion again they get used for a few weeks then thrown in the shed. just like woman and handbags, can only be used once before they are out of fashion

I do find it funny though with some of the cosworth owners on here who go through like 10 sets of wheels over a couple of years cos they "fancied a change" etc etc. More money than sense

215/35/18 is what 99% of ppl run on there saff's.including my self,with that off set you might have to roll front arches

ive got 215/35/18 on et35 and fronts have been rolled.. had rears rolled too and has made quite a bit more room so ill be going for 225s on the back next time but theirs no more room on the front..

235s fit a saph at the rear on 17s no issue
