it's not a duratec then mate if it's the mk1, it's a zetec - regardless of what it says on top!

Just don't want you to go asking someone over the phone what would it cost to put a focus RS duratec in your car and they quote you on the wrong engine!

Spending £5k on getting a Focus RS lump put in it seems a bid mad to be honest. If its a really tidy car, sell it for as much as poss and buy a Focus RS for not alot more!

you will get ALOT more back when you come to sell... and they are a far batter car as well to drive and own matey.

Focus RS's are really nice cars.

As above, you can get a focus for near enough what'd cost you. BUT if you were i'd throw in a turbo'd Zetec, much cheaper and parts are readily available.

As has been said above, Focus RS is a really decent car if you're not bothered about resale value. Get a lot of car for your money and a large aspect of performance goodies that give you a VERY fun, but forgiving car

Alternatively, you could pick up a silver/black top engine very cheaply and build a Zetec Turbo or Supercharged.

Best advice you could get.

Just throw a grand at a decent RST engine conversion, then save up the other 4-5k you didnt spend and get a Focus RS as well............
