Default Ford fair traders

I am going to need a new intercooler and am wondering if it worth waiting till fordfair to get one for a better price or just get one off ebay etc

anybody had a bargain from the shows? if so what and how much did you save

I'd say wait til Ford Fair and have a look mate, cash speaks volumes and is amazing what some traders can do when you wave a load in their faces! Saying that, most take cards now and can do good discounts if you buy a load of stuff... if you're a greedy fecker like me!

And sometimes you get one-off opportunities...

I had a result at Combe with my Airtec setup; wanted the whole shebang (i/c, rad, fans, turbo cooler...) and got talking to AS main man Simon (i think? ) who offered me the actual one used in the Fast Ford test on Twellsie's saff and a b/c grade rad (brand new with warranty just with VERY minor paint defects) for considerably less than normal off-the-shelf show prices!!!

yeah if you can hold out,its only 2 weeks away yipeeee lol.imo though sometimes stuff can be overpriced to make sure you know going rate for bits you need before hand

yeah it was one of them replacrd some of boost hose clamps as they were leaking also the front housing of the turbo was loose and the seal had been crushed so wouldnt seal once i had done up the bolts

oh and the inlet was leaking so that now has a new cometc gasket so it all good now

also will need a new pair of cams some time soonish as mine are a bit worn, money money
