Default Ramair re-oiling and Spec-R turbodamper?

Hi all.

After cleaning and polishing my ramair cone filter, I was wondering what would be best to use to re-oil the filter, I know there's a special ramair reoiling fluid, but since I live in holland, it's not that easy/cheap to get.
Any replacing ideas?

Another question is about turbodampers, I bought a new 200 block and a complete 4x4 cilinderhead, now the problem is that I have a 2wd exhaust manifold and turbo, so I want to use them
I know that the baileys "legged" turbodamper will fix my problem, but I was wondering if the Spec-R version will also solve my problem?

If so, do you have any adresses where to get it for a reasonable price (Spec-R says 141 pounds).

Thanks for the help.

forget the baileys or spec. R dampers, see my reply to your post in the sierra section.

contact mike rainbird and buy a bracket off him to use your original 2wd damper

as for filter oil, do you have hein gericke or polo motorbike shops? they sell k&n oil over here very cheaply

Hi Mike,
After checking the other topic and the topic about 2wd/4wd manifolds, I see that the damper used in the car in the picture (2wd/4wd manifolds topic), Is the same as the Spec-R one, or probably it IS the Spec-R damper, which fits on a 4x4 head.

Can you give me a price for the Spec-R damper, maybe including shipping to Holland?

Thanks.

What damper are you going to be using with the bracket, the standard type one or the RS500 one, as there is a difference in brackets and price?

I'll be using a standard damper as far as I know, here a pic, so maybe you can see it:

(I'll be using my t03 standard turbo to ride-in the engine, later on probably a T34, 35 of 38)

I used to have the same setup on my car, with the Spec-R bracket purchased from Mike.

thanks for the quote mike, and the picture rich

think i'll look into getting one machined up locally without the spec-r writing on that seems to double the cost

sorry, but that is a ridiculous price for a lump of ally.

in the end, it would be way cheaper to buy a 4x4 manifold (20 quid) and rotate the turbo, but i'm not sure that we'll get away with that viv ze cherman authorities.

Nick,

That's what I've done with my car, hence why the damper is sitting next to me and is up for sale.

Obviously not invading on Mike's sale, but it's a little tatty and scratched......... don't need it any more though.......

Hi Richard,
Can you email me a pic of the damper (cris@sierracosworth.nl), with a price you want for it?

It's a simple way of business to take over parts that are used. I think paying a more expensive price for a new one (from Mike) is logical, because it's new and has no wears.

Like to hear from you Richard.

hhaah, I do like that.. but allready did that last 2 weeks on a new 200 block and a complete 139mm thick 4x4 cilinderhead
so next to the new JE 7.8comp pistons, kometic headgasket and all other gaskets/bolts/bearings, I don't want to spend to much on the damper

(ooh, I almost forgot the alcon 6 paddle )

i don't mind paying for functionality - i don't like being ripped off to have a name engraved on some shiny shit.

firstly, i know that the materials and machining do not cost anywhere near that amount, so i won't pay it. secondly, there is a much cheaper (and arguably better) solution in the form of 4x4 manifold.
