Tiger Seal

That's the first one out of the mould, which will be sent out to another member on here. I think I'm 3rd in line, and mine should be ready within the next couple of days, so should receive it sometime next week!

Looks blinkin smart

Cheap too, my AMS roof was over Ł1k

Bargain there, for a nice new and fairly exclusive mod.

Any idea on the weight saving? I lost 15 kgs with mine, and being so far from the centre of gravity is an added benefit over the simple weight saving.

The weight hasn't been confirmed yet, but I'm sure it's going to be around 2kg, so a fair saving over standard!

Mike, Im 2nd on the list and should be picking mine up tuesday morning if all goes well, i'll get it on some scales and find out.
Plus the 15kg lost by removing the original roof with the sunroof gubins.

Get four other Saph owners who fancy one, and then get in touch. It really is as simple as that!

And yes, it replaces the original roof skin. Mine is already off, has been for about the past two months! Mine won't be ready to bond on for quite a while yet anyway, but will be offering it up as soon as I get it just to get a sneak preview of what it looks like!

If its removed properly then its hardly chopping up as a new roof/ the old one could be re spot welded back in place at a later date.

Yeah, it's no different to removing a wing really, it's just a cosmetic panel, and there to stop you getting wet. It's not really part of the shell at all.

I thought the roof held the shell together in as much as with out it, the car would be flimsier than a cabriolet?

How much protection would a carbon roof provide if you flipped the car and it skidded down the road on the roof? I have visions of a very large bald spot appearing on my head.

I had a performance trim carbon roof for my Fiesta. It was by far the single best peice of carbon I have ever seen. Every weave was perfect. Just a shame it never got fitted

No, its only the roof skin thats being changed , none of the structual part is touched.
I wouldnt have one in a car without a cage, as the metal would just dent and the carbon as you say would leave you a little bit like harry hill.

dont you worry about how it will be viewed in the future?
a bit like rattlesnake bodykits, back in the day cool (ish- not for me) but now they are all scrapped cos nobody would buy 1

i know a CF roof is more use that a FG kit but i dunno, in 10 years time will it be against you escos?
