Default Cheers from Canada

Hey everyone!

I'm from Calgary Alberta Canada . I'm a pretty big fan of redline and max power magazine . Found a link to your site in last edition of redline . i thought i would say hello and use some of your resources to assist building my new project car (merkur xr4ti or as u know a ford sierra) .

my last project car is now my daily driver svt focus with a m62 super charger, ported and polished headwork and manifold, smaller pulley for higher boost, no cat and straight through exhaust . the svt focus is what you know as the ST170 . for us it's SVT . using the same motor Duratec-ST . you can find pics and more info of it in my signature .

my current project was picked up last week . it is the merkur XR4ti . it is an 85 xr4ti shell with an 88 thunderbird turbocoupe ported head . has a T3 turbo and FMIC . plans for the motor in the next upcoming month or two is a t3/t4, larger fmic, larger tb & vam. remove BOV and replace with recirculating valve . and lots of tuning :P

however, the xr4ti front bumper and headlight combo i find quite dated . and i was hoping maybe we can talk a bit about how i can obtain some parts to convert the front end . i'm not sure what would be easier, an Escort or Sierra front end conversion?
- front bumper
- front grill
- headlights
- front quarter panels
- hood

the headlights i would like to swap to quad from the oem that is there now .

you can find pictures of the my merkur xr4ti following the link in my signature also!

i'm looking forward to your feedback boys! thanx a tonne in advance .

so i don't know how difficult my front end conversion idea would be . however, another approach is the following .

So far i'm starting with this interior

and this front end

and this rear bumper

i'll be putting in the reverse indigloo gauges

from http://www.rapidogroup.com/newprod.htm

and quad headlights

from http://www.rapidogroup.com/newprod.htm

today i will trying to fit SVT Contour Wheels

(my stock OEM SVT Focus ones do not fit)

ultimately if the sierra or escort style more updated front end fails . i would like to find out what front bumper is on this

Atomic, you're on the wrong website dude! well actually this is a Great Place but, when asking about XR stuff you should be at here---> http://www.merkurclub.com/forum/
That grey XR is Phil's from PM Motorsport, the round lights are available from this dude Brad on the MCA. Is that your Green XR?? that used to belong to Xavier right?
-Erik
PS, when you join the MCA tell them I sent you
