when i advertised my black saff on here a few years back that was advertised as 'clean' not mint, but looking back that was 'minter' than most of the cossies i have seen for sale since, its now owned by a new user on here, ol' skooler on the rsoc bb Sensei, reg is now J*** RSC, ebony black with Rondells, that car will give you a view of my idea of clean

maybe sometimes it pays not to be honest with you car in the forsale add.as i polish the car most weeks i can see whats wrong so thats what i put in the add,its not mint but on the other hand so aint some so called mint cars if you look at the restos on them.
i think any car at the 10k mark is worth a look especially with peoples current situation as you never know what may be out there.
my add was in the cars for sale (maybe 5-6 pages down now)but i am not sure if i am going to sell now plus the comps maybe px for rondell/engles this week.

i think if they look cheap with no problems then people get scared thinking there is something wrong........

Stick it in the garage for a year Matt & Lorraine. It seems there are far too many time wasters around

which they leaves you with a grand to play with if it need anything.
just look around it well check the sills as they are prone to rust, check the oil pressure on the gauge when the car is warm
there still alot more best put i thread up on what to look for.
any panel damage or rot just remember you cant get the panels any more and when they do come up they are very expensive.

Says it all, the lux owner acting odd and the motorsport one not. If i wanted an ESCOS id buy the 10 k one. End of day id be getting an escos with same engine etc, only peopele youd have in car mainly is friends who would know difference if they knew. If only local RS groups they will sure for know, but know what it is.

Monte 087
Some of the very early small turbos had big mirrors, that blue one on the piston heads link has had quite a hard wack on the front corner.

Remember 3door parts/panels are getting hard to come now and you have to get what you can find.
An example 3door bumper Ł400 probably find 2 to look at escort cos bumper Ł400 but more likely to find 5 or 6 to look at.
But Escorts are a bit of a let down from the drive though

I dont want to be spending 9k on that the other black one, its too standard without eing original if you see what i mean.
The white one is nice but at that money i wouldnt be able to modify it or do many miles as i wouldnt want it to lose its value, I also wouldnt drive it in the rain.
It would also get very boring as its slow, If i was going to buy a standard one i would buy the moonstone one on here that is mint!
Thanks for the suggestions though.
For 9-10k i would want a 400hp 3 door really.

~ Shucks ~
Hey,
I am a complete Stranger to you Bud and have just read your thread, have had loadza cars n been round the block a few times....
It seems to me you are the type who frets about what people think about you and your car, so if you are a prisoner to other peoples mouths then yes you will have to get what THEY like..
If I wanted to buy an Escort Cosworth I would not hesitate to buy Guzzler''s one, indeed I would not be asking other people what they thought about it I would have it here To openly torture a decent bloke by inferring his car is somehow suspect is a Wicked thing to do/allow . . .
You will NOT be happy with a Motorsport one, someone living their own life will buy it and be very happy with it, my recommendation to you is to go and buy that Absolutley Beautiful 3 door linked above ~ don't insult the poor~guy with faffing about over a few~quid, it is well~worth nine~grand... I am sure you will be buying some wheels that other people like and will tell us all about it when it happens..
Hope that helps

If you would have read correcty i distinctively asked not to talk about guzzlers one from the first post but everybody thinks i should go and buy it.
Its funny how people like you all think that i should buy it and not youreselves, If it was that desirable, cheap beautiful etc etc then it would have sold in the first week.
The thread is not about me wanting guzzlers car beacause i dont. its about wther to buy a 10k escos as there are a fair few others out there, Or buy a mint 3 door.
I think im going to sell my saff and buy a better escos, Please bear in mind if you didnt know Guzzler only took the escos part X and i bought an RS Turbo off the person he got it from and it was an absoloubt rot box.
could also be why im a little hesitant.
Please lets get away from guzzlers or i will ask thread to be deleted, Its unfair already.
