for a min" i thought i was on passion fight lol, if my facts are right which there are a good chance they are then it goes like this .1 abc have his rollers. 2 he shut up shop and did not go under ( due to workshop leas ). 3 he is back at A E R.
I used paul more than once and i would again as never did i have any problems with him or his work (mapping) and he never robbed me as i am a tight bugger he would have had a hard job ,lol.and i never had the feeling he was either and he always helped as far as sorting my car out of work hours and he even done some mapping for me on a dyno well into the night, i know he had some propper bad days but fu*k me we all have once upon a time. And at the end of the day he aint doing his own thing any more so is there any real need to keep bad mouthing him? really? i dont think so,you aint going to use him again

I have never seen an ignition map like it on a turbo car, having said that the engine hadn't popped using those figures.

Thats the thing, if he could rob you he would!!

He must have had a proper bad day when he fucked me over.

Going to EA was like playing Russian Roulette. There was a good chance you would get shot in the head. He put 5 bullets in the gun when i went there.

Mine did. But it was more of a bang than a pop. The bang was the rods escaping out of the block and bits of engine hitting the underside of the car.

Common problem. Paul Hills fucked loads of people over. Anything complicated and he was shit. Totally useless. When i had my engine mapped by him (built by and ex employee of his who was very good) it never ran right, was shit from cold and had loads of issues.

Yet when I used another tuner the mapping was perfect and it ran spot on from cold even on a T6-2000.

I think he blagged his way through his time here. I think he would have been pushed if he hadnt jumped!

I know a top Skyline tuner that has nothing but praise for his mapping of nearly 1000Hp skylines, so surely he cant be that bad.

I only went there once to get my skyline RR as i was selling it and wanted a good figure lol.

He was very helpful but seemed very stressed and uptight. he reprogrammed my AVC-r though and car drove better.

However i would not let him build me an engine due to his reputation.

the guy that had their car mapped by him and thought it was great, any chance you could share the contents of the map with us?

i am reliably informed about at least 3 different maps that have been examined that are SO bad even a total and utter amateur would not make anything so bad.

i do not beleive that he is so stupid he didn't know what he did was this badly wrong so the only logical conclusion i can come to is that he knowlingly let cars go out the door in a totally unsuitable fasion

i can tell you another map, he SOLD Xrt-Si a FREE downloaded ford mondeo map and took out the map sensor readings so hes t34 zetec turbo could be RAN IN,, he sold him the map for 250 quid plus the labour for scotchlocking the fuel pump relay wiring and leaving it loose on the passenger floor,,,,,

can you belive he downloaded a demo map from omex of there site then had the cheek to charge for he and call it a "running in map"

si spent over a grand there and hes car came back doing 20 miles to a tenner,,,,, on the motorway or round town !!!!

I have a graph showing 576.6bhp. I never drove that car at that power because it exploded both times i drove it in anger. Once on the test drive down the A12 and the second time on my local industrial estate after i drove from London at driving test speed!

Im convinced that graph was made up. It was never mapped and tested at that power!

Yeah I can believe it. Because he charged me Ł140.00 for fuel to map my car! On top of the 3/4 of a tank of fuel i left him with!

Bloke is a joker, my old saff was running over 11% c.o it was so rich!!! No wonder it used more oil than fuel!!!

Anyone that saw IanM500cos's external wastegate installation will know how inept he was/is, you don't mount a wastegate on 1/2" Id pipe and expect it to control a gt35!!!! The worst bit is the way he lied so obviously, the T6-2000 datalog proves it!!

Lol. T6-Datalogger never lies. It gives dates, times and nearly tells you what colour pants the mapper was wearing!

How about the 480bhp he got out of a set of greys?? Or 375bhp out of a set of greens?

Ok guys, to set the record straight about ABC Motorsport.

Paul Hills is nothing to do with ABC, it is solely run by Mark and Pete, nobody else.
Yes they did buy the rolling road from Paul, but that is it, nothing else.
Mark and Pete now own ABC, the previous owners Luke and Danny are now nothing to do with the company, currently I would recommend them for any work on your car, and believe me I am a fussy git with my cars, but have had no problems at all.

Dont know Paul Hills but my 3 Door Cossie was mapped by him before I bought it and has been really good.
Hope this helps all, and tries to put the record straight.

No problem with anyone at ABC or any of the components of the EA rolling road or bits of Engine Advantages toolboxes or spanners of sockets (that werent left in engines!) that found their way there!

My sole problem was with Paul Hills, his lack of knowledge, his arrogance and the way he shafted me and countless others.

That would explain alot about why yours went pop. A ignition map for a 300 bhp 34mm restricted WRC car will be a world apart from an unrestricted 550 bhp one.

Am i right in thinking danny (ex abc) has set up again im sure it was his escort cos i saw at combe, some people have been talking about a new company open?? Again i may be wrong.

This whole paul hills thing needs to be put to bed really,he did good and bad but none of this is affecting him now as he has gone, all its doing is winding all you poor sods up that have had bad jobs and reminding you how much he pissed you off.

I no from prior posts he works for AER not ABC . I think abc have gone back to just selling cosworths and rst etc,so they can be left out the paul hills issue as buying his rollers does not mean he comes with it ..

Quick Reply: is paul hills still about??
