As mentioned on another post....

The MG suffered a broken TCA adjuster and narrowly missed the tyres at Quarry We had the othe side fail some time ago.. Need to look at the cause.

The Escort was running just fine (at quite low boost to save fuel!) but a blow out caused wing damage and a couple of laps later the wastegate diaphragm melted..

Not my best day at Combe!

i disagree you have got away with the same failure that could have caused a serious accedent twice, i think you had a very lucky day

We are looking at an engine rebuild now for it, but we had great fun
The Maestro looked to go really well from what I saw.
The guy in the merc coupe seemed to be having fun until it cried enough just after Tower - he just had a fairly big slide at Tower corner so I wondered if something broke?

Saw the M3 have a spin just after Quarry, got a few pics as he managed to hang on to it...and likewise with the 200sx who avoided the tyres luckily!

Spiky's 205 did well as it seemed to hang on to the Mk2 blue Golf which is always really quick. The MGB GT and light blue Mk2 Escort treated Quarry to some nice slides as well.

Pleased with my camera as it was new to me and I learned a fair bit more about all the buttons and settings

In convoy with the white 3-door - I can believe the bit about it being over 500bhp - it was leaving 11s out of Tower corner as he was accelerating up to the chicane!

What an amazing day, as always.

Martin, real shame, I saw you take Morris on the grass on the second lap as I got there. So nearly sh*t myself when I thought you of all people was gonna hit the tyres. Knew it had to be suspension related.

Si B, got your return PM too late mate, but was telling the missus all day what your car was like and what it's running. Made her sit still and watch just cos you were out on track and positively flying. Great to actually see it in the flesh close up though.

Who is the owner of the Reyland grey Escos.? Just want to say a massive thanks cos the charity ride I went out in was awesome. Proper didn't hold back, and the power was amazing, specially pulling out of the corners in 2nd. Holy sh*t.!!!! I'd have paid twice the money for that ride alone.

Spiky, managed to see you in the Pug, looked rapid. Was gonna pop over and say hello, but you were always talking to someone as I went by.

Oh and reat to see the Gooon embarrassing what many would call 'faster' cars. I was laughing my tits off. Can only imagine their faces when a Maestro pops up in the rear view. Ha ha.

And finally got to see YUM in the flesh. WHAT a car.....did I hear correctly that's running 711.????? and on the road.!!!!!

And I don't care if it sounds like I'm ass kissing, it's great to see you guys on track in cars you love and enjoy. I just wish I had the time, money and inclination. Muchos respect, you do the motorpsort industry proud and roll on the next one ( Rally Day for me ).

Brian

Yes, your 205 is very quick. In past years that blue Mk2 Golf has been one of the quickest fwders on track ( although Bill Brockbank's yellow Seat Ibiza was even faster although to be fair it was turbo ). Well driven!

I'll see what I've got - I know I got one as you were going into scrutineering with the black 3-door behind you

In my opinion the track car of the day was the Reyland Sierra. I didn't see anything get past it including the Labatts car!

I had a nice view of the back bumper of the Reyland 3dr when out in the labatts with Greg I'm suprised with myself that i did not get nervous

The labatts had a bad misfire of some sort going on, hope he gets it sorted for it's next outing.

it was slow as it should have been runing 2.4 bar but was only managing 1.4 bar plus a missfire at 6500 rpm but was still fun lol ! guna have a look at this week and see if it can be beat into submission lol

Great pics Mike, thanks very much for getting so many good ones including the smoke screen I was deploying trying to shake him off! Been meaning to get the turbo sorted since the last Ring trip - topping up with oil all the time reminds me of my Cossie days!

Love this pic, sums up our couple of laps:

Yep I did, just watched some of the rear view cam and it looks awesome behind - as you can see from Mike's pics he was close which is deffo how I like to run

I need a Firewire lead and port on my PC to get it off the camera, so will try and get onto that asap. Not good with the technology stuff

As above, yep he can certainly peddle. I'm sure he was using his 1.8 bar boost mode as I wasn't leaving him on the straights or the twisties. Good turn of speed that's for sure.

Si,

Awesome car and driving as per mate, was great to watch you battle it out with the 3dr, top driving from both of you..
