Depends on whether you mean what power would you need in an Evo to be as fast point-to-point as an Evo, or at what point is an Evo the better car.

Firstly 420bhp 2wd is probably around 350ATW. 350ATW in and Evo is going to need closer to 500bhp, then you've got a bit of extra weight in the Evo too. I've always said that I would want 550bhp out of an Evo if I had one (which I don't and won't, incidentally).

However, I think you'd enjoy a 400bhp Evo more than you enjoy your 420bhp Cossie.

i just mean driving experience, and dont want something what will feel very slow.
it wouldnt be until next year even if i did get one.
can a fq 300 be mapped up to say 400bhp easily enough?
what is the difference between fq, gsr, rs etc...
tbh i dont know much about them and i just been looking at them recently, and they got the juices flowing!!!
i think i would need a drive in one cos i've heard mixed views

Greg you dont press the pedal hard enough on your Sapph. So a kitted up 1.8 family spec Lancer will do you nicely

Join the mlr mate, plenty usefull info on there, personally i`d have the evo as it will corner alot faster than the cossie therefore feel alot faster on the all important back roads, none of this straight to jail by-pass shit

Yes I do see them daily. I wouldn't want one because of the running costs, thank you very much.

If people spent a bit of money on making the Cossie handle rarther than throwning 400+Bhp at 18 year old bushes etc, then people may just be surprised at what a good handling car a cossie, 2wd or 4x4 actually is ... Get the rear beam done and it is a MASSIVE improvement!

I really think it depends on how you drive it. Alot of people say that Evo's do the driving for you, true I suppose if you drive the Evo at the same speed as you drive a Cossie, however, if you drive the Evo on the limit, that limit is ALOT higher than with the Cossie.
