Default bl**dy cosworths

coming home from work this morning, going a bit mental(clear roads and very cold), i gets to about 5k in fifth, when i hear and feel my engine dump its boost pressure( big whoosh and a load of chatter), i am thinking a boost hose come off or the like as the car is still not missing a beat(albeit a lot slower) and i can see no smoke behind me! i pulls up to a roundabout and i cannot see for smoke,
gets home and has a quick look, head still on, no oil anywhere, i remove turbo for an inspection and behold i have only half the exhaust blades left and severe casing damage!!

bollox, right before xmas

Chris - sorry off topic a bit..had a close inspection of ya orange beast yesterday..Very smart buddy Dash looked nice n neat aswell Shame the door wasn't open as there was a HKS turbo timer in the packet sitting just inside the driver door Also one thing that puzzled me why was the boost gauge at a 90 degree angle...you would have to snap ya neck to see it properley

Turbo timer is for a customer of Paul's I supplied

The boost gauge is at that angle so at 2.2bar, the needle can be pointing the correct way

never managed to source one, so it was an old shonky obne on the car!!!!

Guess you'll definately want that T4 now

might as well as you won't be needing it for 18 months!!!

How do the blades go into the engine then

the last one i saw let go on the compressor side, threw the blades out the side of the i/cooler

Pugo [/quote]

THAT'S what I mean from what I can see the bits of the blades WOULD have to get into the i/cooler and out the other side then pass through the throttle body into the inlet manifold and THEN enter the engine etc!

onto yours now get another old smoker turbo to get u by for now(if you need to drive it asap)if NOT then wait for the one YOUR after m8
