My decision would be either:
Keep it for myself, as a momento, NOT to sell
Not bother with it

My logic is that I dont think there will be commercial value in buying them as there will probably be a million fake ones printed if the value looks high and with punters unable to distinguish between real or fake, the value will drop even of the real ones.

Didn't something happen like this before? He cancelled a gig and wrote refunds via cheque and signed them all? Lots of people thought these cheque were worth more than cashing them?

The problem is you don't know what other people WILL do, and even then it's a guess at best. Personally i'd go for the refund option if i had a ticket, i think the whole idea of issuing "limited edition merchandise" is just the company trying to give you something that has been mass produced for a fiver instead of giving you back Ł80 or whatever. Or just keep the ticket for 20 years for it to be worth a few hundred quid and the equivalent of what you paid for it in todays money so it's pointless, and you'd need a crystal ball to work that one out.

Genuinely surprised, I would have thought it was right up your alley so to speak, as surely the value of commodoties based on supply and demand, is all stuff you know about?

First paragraph and I had to leave

Got the jist of it though, I don't think they will be worth that much due to their being so many of them.

Fair enough if it was just one night, but it was 50nights worth of tickets!

another spin - will opening night/closing night tickets be worth more than in the middle?

Porkie, I find minority game theory an interesting blend of mathmatics and psychology, here is a paragraph about the relevance of minority game theory to the world of finance:

Almost ten years ago, Damien Challet and Yi-Cheng Zhang have taken the El Farol problem and applied it to financing. Since then, the new field of "econophysics" has sparked a lot of attention. In the Challet and Zhang financing game, the choice between A and B does not involve going to a bar but selling or buying stock. When one makes financial speculations one has to buy before everybody is crowding to buy (thus driving the price up) and to sell before everybody starts selling (thus driving the price down). Thus, the big winners are always managing to be part of the minority.
