Default Dump valve on a remote turbo setup

I want to ensure I don't get compressor stall on a remote turbo setup but due the length of the boost pipes I don't want to lose any air so would it be best to use a recirc dump like this or have it closer to the engine side?:

I'd rather re-pressurise a void of air at the turbo end because it'll be quicker than the engine end
