Nope. It also wasnt any slower though. Did countless launches using launch control from 1st and a couple from second and they were all within about .2 of a second to 60 and about .5 to 100. My car also has a very long first gear reaching almost 70 which also helps.
I could also match the time just about with a manual launch but then you only get a perfect 1 every few attempts where with the launch control it monitors everything and does it for you and its the same every time!!!! (cheating I know)

Hello Fella,
Going ok actually, we have a peak of 42psi and holding onto around 38 all the way. Nothing to report other than what Will has discussed with you. Going to try another couple of launch points and retard algorithms and ultimately give you a couple of chips to try that may suit different road surfaces for you if the lower launch points bog a little.

what ratio is the diff mate?
i know we were trying this way back with the 3.9 diffs rather than the 3.6's and there was very little to choose between them really as you couldn't rally change fast enough from 1st to 2nd to make sure of the extra acceleration, but, at the same time, you lost a bit pulling away in 2nd but it was a nice big rush of power
if you can hit 60 in 2nd though it might be worth a few tries to get the right take off, but if it's 4wd them 1st gear launching ftw

3.6, by the sounds of it, it will be 1st gear.

what he needs now is a change over board and a switch on the dash to shift between strategies
