mine used to get stuck, i just forced it, and it opened.
I used to spray copper grease on the runners to make it slide better.

but the choice is yours.

It could be either stuck on the rubber or rusted shut, mine was stiff when i tried opening it after 18 months being closed but a hard turn on the handle shifted it, ihen i went and bought a mint electric item for Paul@NYRS

Best bet is get a helper, to bang around the edges of the sunroof as you try to raise/lower it, that's what I do always works, the sliders can be coated in silicone gel.

pushing it up at the rear first tends to help

but if it's jammed and one of the plastic guides has snapped then it's a new mechanism as it's then classified as fucked

once it goes up and down a few times it should start to move back and forward too, just make sure there is someone turning the handle at the same time to prevent possibly cable ebndinglsnapping of the plastic lugs that hold it in place, leading to it being fuckde
