Last engine did 194

Since then

New engine and now have GT40, 8 INJ, Solid Lifters, Diffrent cams

Made 711bhp on pump so think we now have the power for 5 gear to get to the rev limiter which should see 200mph

The rules are simple. The car must be a Ford with a Ford engine. There is no limit to the modifications especially if those modifications are safety based. Only those with a genuine chance of cracking the double ton will be invited.

We will supply the airfield, the medic and the timing gear. You will supply the car, the driver, and the spare pants.

We'll do it when the competitors are ready! The objective is fastest top speed. As for girls doing it - gender isn't an issue but experience is. I'll only allow people who have prior experience of doing 190+ for health and safety reasons.

How do people who have done over 190mph differ from those who havn't, do they crash in a safer way?

May be a silly obvious question, but does that cover ANY ford car, fitted with ANY ford engine ie sapphire with a TT 6litre ford racing V8 or something equally daft?

I would imagine so, utterly gay if not

What engine is in this a ford perhaps?

Perhaps you should insert the word potential in the title & clarify the Cossie part because thats important for say a 700+bhp Ford GT/Mustang that if this is a Fastest Ford engined event should have a chance to enter, perhaps a topic on Pistonheads will bring entrants.
There are cars in Scandy land that have said they are up for a crack at 200mph, the world is bigger than PF so should be explored. I wish the event well .

Is the aim to crack 200mph as fast as possible or go balls out for 215mph, they are totally different aims & would drastically effect gearing .

They are more experienced as they know how a car feels and stops at that kind of speed.

Awesome car, but not a 200mph car, so not eligible.

I think you've made your point now

Let's give Rod a fair crack of the whip. It would be a much better event if he took part so can we refrain from goading him as all that's going to do is convince him further not to take part.

Mark will not be driving in the future, hes risked it enough & now has a child, hes my first choice but i fully understand his decision. Greg Rose asked if he could drive it at future events so should at least get the full potential from the car.

Being Serious for once its unlikely it will be possible to attend this event but time will tell. I only wish to run one more time & want it to be a RS Cosworth Topspeed attempt. After its all over you can compare the Speeds so nothing is lost.

Nice idea, but due to health & safety it's not possible. When 200mph is likely we've got to elimiate as many dangers as is possible. Spectators are a BIG potential danger!!

Shame, I bet it would be a craking day out and spectators could bring the costs down for the event

Good luck to all who enter
