Nope, i was advised to replace the Bailey turbo hanger with a proper damper.

Mine at present has a real nasty harmonic vibration around the 3250rpm range.

The T4 damper bolts straight on if you know how

I thought it was fairly easy to fit, there aren't that many parts are there?

The blocky thing bolts to the head
horshoe thingy brackets bolt to the blocky thing (with spacer/bracket-spacer/bracketx2)
Then the large circular mounts go in the turbo bracket, with the clamp doofa either side of each circular mount

simples

the plate that it sits on
will replace the platic washer that would be with a genuivne one
i cant do picture as i dont have my car and sod knows where the spare RS500 damper is with the spacer opening it up it a pain so use something to open it up about .5-1 cm insert it to keep it open and slide it on sound easy and i have done it but well its fuckn hard

Harmonic distortion sounds to me like a fooked turbo as it happens just as the turbos coming on song

just my opinion tho

I had the same problem with the bailey damper, my turbo was feshly built and is still going strong long after i took the damper off.

harmonic resonation is a characteristic of the yb with the 2wd manifold hence why the guru's at coswoth fitted a damper as standard
it has nothing to do with the turbo coming on boost but the resonation can seriously affect the turbo

it looks pretty and is a support not a harmonic resonation damper
the only damper that that are true dampers are the standard cosworth ones

hi ya mate where did you get the polished damper mate??i presume they can fit on a T34??

I have got a baileys one i presume due to the fact it has not got any dampening effect this is why my bloody turbo bolts(turbo to manifold)undo over a period of time!
