Panasonic 42" Plasma/LCD. Where from?
Seeing as I've been dropped in the brown stuff I figured I would sort the last of my debts on payday and at the end of the month go and get the TV I promised myself years ago. Cash is a bit tight though so I need to get the best deal i can find really.
Do I want plasma or LCD? I will be using it for a chunk of X-Box so have been told LCD might be a better option.
That's what I'm thinking of

Just make sure it's "1080p" and not "1080i" mate, a high contrast ratio along with True HD 1080p are a must, don't buy anything with a contrast ratio less than like 30,000:1.. I paid £599 for my Sony Bravia KDL-40V4000 about 6 months ago, absolutely love it..

LCD All the way, Ive found Plasmas have an annoying buzz and if you watch anything with static images it can burn to the screen. I have a 42" LCD Toshiba 1080p 100hz that I payed £650 for with stand and its awesome. Make sure its 1080p with a good contrast ratio or you will be very disapointed.

Personally, I always recommend Plasmas over LCDs (although these LED backlit Samsung jobbies are pretty good), due to the vastly superior contrast ratio and much reduced smearing of motion.
