Default Is silicon vac pipe resistant to brake fluid???

As above really.

Asking as my mate who is a stunt rider needs some pipe to go from a fluid reservior to the master cylinder for his hand controlled rear brake on the stunt bike. The rubber pipe that was supplied with the kit he fitted was of pretty poor quality and it has started to weep fluid and take in air, which is not a good thing when you may need your rear brake in a hurry. We have been to a few different bike shops etc and no one has any rubber pipe to suit. It is not a pressurised line as it is just to hold the fluid between the reservior and master cylinder. I was wondering if something like silicon vac pipe would be useable or if the fluid would just kill it????? If so does anyone have any suggestions as to what type of pipe to use and where to get it?? It only needs to be 10-12" length max.

Cheers folks.

Anyone???

I have read that automatic transmission cooler hose is rated for brake fluid so worst case, we can go see about some next week. It would be good to find out if the silicone pipe is worth a try as I have some in the garage.

I have used some silicon vac pipe when bleeding brakes off before too but in my case and in yours it is only brief contact really. I need to know if it will sustain constant contact without the fluid eating it away like it would do with normal fuel line type pipe.

OPA is ok with brake fluid afaik.
I use a place for this and other pipes called Walker Rubber and Plastic, they would be able to tell you instantly, 01603 415044

OPA = Oil Petrol Air, pretty resistant to almost anything.
