staff mortgage is shite nowadays, Ł30,000 at 4% with the rest on BMR
it was great in the 1980's when house cost Ł25000 and interest rates were 11%

At a place i used to work at we had a saying " you only get called to the office for a payrise or a bollocking" we usually had a fair idea if it was payrise time so it was inevitable you'd get a bollocking.

My current boss says " we need a meeting Friday" on a monday. Then starts talking about something then says " well anyway we'll talk about it friday" WTF!!!! So i have to go a week wondering what the fook the meetings for! Just fooking say it now why wait if it needs to be discussed!

 

Right turns out it wasn't a bollocking... so wont need another job at nationwide anymore

In fact being transferred to another unit in Mayfair to a specialist team

Not extra money, but shorter traveling time and one on one basis with a manager, very high profile within the Bank, so all good news

Cheers guys all the rubbish I have had going on recently its couldn't have come at a better time!

 

Well, been down to see them today and its a pretty much done deal.

They asked me when I could start, tomorrow?

I said somehow I dont think I could do that, plus I think the rest of my team would have a collective heart attack

I tell you what thou walking around Mayfair saw Bentleys, Lambos, Aston's, Ferrari's, I was in car annorak heaven...
